India Hollingworth

Senior School Sport and Leadership Officer / SGO Tupton Hall School Games Organiser - Tupton Hall (North East Derbyshire)

India's role has grown over recent years and she has now become the Senior School Sport Officer and SGO for North East Derbyshire.

A graduate from Leeds Beckett University with a BA Honours in Sport Development, India recently completed an MA in Sport Development and Management.

India currently holds two voluntary roles with the Youth Sport Trust, working as a Team Leader at the national Girls Active Camps and Girls Football Youth Leadership Camp. India has been trained and works as a Young Event Host at many of the YST national and regional conferences and has received much praise for her public speaking.

India's passion is athletics and she is a Level 4 National Technical Official with British Athletics, officiating at national and international events. These include the IAAF and IPC World Championships in London (2017), the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Birmingham (2018), the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham (2022) and the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Glasgow in March 2024.

We firmly believe in placing sport, physical activity and Physical Education at the heart of our schools and communities to provide more young people with the opportunity to develop their confidence, competence and motivation towards a lifelong relationship with a healthy, active lifestyle.  We work with educational, sports, physical activity and mental health specialists to create a network of support for our schools, community clubs and young people.
