Event description

This event is open to all affiliated schools in Derbyshire as part of our LEAD INCLUSION work with the Youth Sport Trust  

The Motor Activity Training Programme (MATP) is a unique programme specifically designed for individuals with profound, multiple learning disabilities and complex health needs to gain access to meaningful physical activity and sport.

Delegates will receive MATP training which will include:

• An overview of MATP and Special Olympics
• Personnel and set up of MATP
• MATP core programme
• Challenge day and come and try event
• Resources and support available

Delegates will also have the opportunity to see an MATP challenge event in action, with primary and secondary schools/organisations who are delivering the MATP programme being invited to showcase what they have been learning within their school.
