Supporting Young People To Build Emotional Resilience

Making a mistake isn’t the end of the world, but that can be a difficult thing to learn for a lot of people. Most children are still learning it, in fact. These kinds of setbacks and the feelings they bring on can provoke severe and unhealthy reactions in young people, if they’re not taught how to deal with their emotions in a healthy way.

However, it’s sometimes tricky to know what you can do or say to help these youngsters develop the confidence and adaptability to process these feelings in the future.  This guide features expert advice, letting you know how to build emotional resilience in the children and young people in your care.

Spooky Themed Activities For Halloween

October is upon us! The month of spooks and scares. It’s also becoming colder and wetter… and some of us are becoming less inclined to go outdoors.

But with all the extra time spent inside, it’s important to make sure all that extra indoor time doesn’t lead to too much sitting around and a lack of motivation to move!

Screen time is making it harder than ever to get kids moving, and the colder weather makes it even tougher. But we all know the scary truth about what happens when kids don’t get enough exercise.

So imoves want to help you keep your classroom active and healthy. And the best way to do that is to make movement enjoyable, engaging and relevant.

So for this Halloween, get your class moving and keeping fit with their FREE Halloween-themed resources!

They can have fun, get in the spirit and burn off some energy to help them focus and do well this autumn term.

Please see the attached flyer for the Wild Cats Girls Football sessions at Brookfield Community School which take place every Sunday.  It's a great opportunity for girls who want to give football a go in a fun and friendly environment.  If you could send this out to your parents and put it on your school's noticeboard.
