School Games National Santa Dash 2025/26

The countdown is on for one of the most joyful events in the School Games calendar - the National Santa Dash, taking place this year on Friday 12 December.
Last year, an incredible 116,499 young people took part. This year, we’re hoping to go even bigger - and we need your help to get schools across the network involved.
The Santa Dash is all about having fun while being active. Schools can choose any distance that works for their pupils and take part at any time during the day. The magic comes from thousands of young people across the country moving together, creating a powerful sense of belonging, community and shared memories.
Let’s help create even more of those memories this year.
How to Take Part
- Record participation using a simple Google form - SGOs can submit area totals or share the form directly with schools to complete
- Access a downloadable certificate for all participating schools once the numbers have been submitted
- Encourage schools to celebrate and connect with others using #SchoolGamesSantaDash on social media.
Your support is key to making this another fantastic nationwide moment. Let’s get even more young people moving, smiling and joining in the festive spirit on 12 December.
Get Set For Milan

Get Set for Milan is Team GB and ParalympicsGB's official Milano Cortina 2026 activity programme for schools, families and local communities. It’s designed to help children and their families get active together, try new things, and most importantly, have fun. It’s all about team spirit and building a habit of physical activity.
Children across the country are challenged to make a virtual journey between all the major sporting venues of Milano Cortina 2026, following our Team GB and ParalympicsGB athletes as they make the trip in real life. Teachers, group leaders and families create teams, then everyone gets active at home, in school, or at local sport and community groups, logging their physical activity on the Get Set for Milan website where each active minute becomes virtual kilometres powering the team from Milano to Cortina.
At each Games venue, you’ll meet Team GB and ParalympicsGB athletes to discover an interesting fact about the venue you have reached. With loads of motivational activities and videos, young people will be inspired to get moving to make sure their bus gets to Cortina in time for the Games!
