Derbyshire Cricket Foundation - Free Cricket Taster Days

To support the Youth National Programmes, AllStars and Dynamos, that have run at local cricket clubs throughout the summer, The Derbyshire Cricket Foundation have free cricket taster days available to state primary schools throughout the County.

The day consists of 2/3 sessions in the morning, 2 in the afternoon and the option of an assembly. We can work around your school timetable to suit your needs. It is also open to KS1 and KS2.

The free day of cricket activity is to promote the National Programmes that are happening at Cricket Clubs in the area. These are AllStars (for 5-8 year olds) and Dynamos Cricket (for 8-11 year olds).

We will also offer informal CPD to your staff during the sessions as well as showing how they could run cricket lessons themselves through the Free Chance to Shine Cricket Resources (produced by Youth Sport Trust) https://www.chancetoshine.org/teaching-resources. These resources are broken into different Key Stages and have clear links to National Curriculum Outcomes and Physical Literacy.

If your school is interested in a free cricket taster day, please fill in this Microsoft Form with your availability. We will endeavour to get to as many schools as we can. Derbyshire Cricket Foundation Free Cricket Taster Day 2026 – Fill in form

If you have already accessed free cricket from us this academic year, we will not be able to offer you any more at this time.
