With National Sports Week well underway, we hope everyone is enjoying a variety of fun and exciting PE activities.

We are also pleased to announce that the Primary PE and Sport Premium Funding has been confirmed for the next academic year, and we look forward to continuing our work with you all from September.

    The School Games Mark recognises the impact you have made in school and the importance of PESSPA in your school.  DASN Active Mark celebrates your efforts and achievements.

  • Have you completed your Equal Access Survey?

    The FA Girls Equal Access Survey gathers national information regarding equal access and equal opportunities for both boys and girls and the data influences national policy and funding – DEADLINE 27th June 2025

Primary PE & Sport Premium Funding

We’re pleased to share that the Department for Education has confirmed funding for the Primary PE and Sport Premium for the 2025/26 academic year for all eligible schools.

You will have all now received the 2025-26 SHAPE Affiliation brochure. 

SHAPE Learning Partnership remains committed to providing high-quality, inclusive support for primary schools through tailored programmes that enhance physical literacy, leadership, and collaboration. Our affiliation for the upcoming year offers a range of opportunities, including:

Wildcats Girls Football Sessions

Please see the attached flyer for the Wild Cats Girls Football sessions at Brookfield Community School which take place every Sunday.  It's a great opportunity for girls who want to give football a go in a fun and friendly environment.  If you could send this out to your parents and put it on your school's noticeboard.

Supporting PE: An introduction for Teaching Assistants eLearning

This course has been made possible through Inclusion 2024 which is a Department for Education funded grant that is helping to increase participation of children with additional needs in PE and school sport.

This short course is designed to improve your confidence in supporting the delivery of inclusive PE and to help you create outstanding experiences for every pupil, regardless of their abilities.

As this is an eLearning course, you will need a working internet connection to access this content. For an optimal experience, we recommend using the latest browser version.

As part of the Inclusion 2024 programme, Activity Alliance are offering schools free access to this training. Please use the discount code TAInclusion2024

Inclusive PE

We are excited to share the release of the free Inclusive Physical Education e-learning course as part of the Inclusion 2024 programme investment. This course has 10 bite-size modules that have been designed to increase teachers, teaching assistants, sports practitioners and the wider school workforce in the knowledge and confidence to deliver inclusive PE and school sport. The content has been redeveloped with the support of Leeds Beckett University and Lead Inclusion Schools to ensure the information is informative and relevant to practitioners. Each section contains an introduction, key facts, space for self-reflection on current practice, tips on how to improve your practice and a handy additional resource page. A certificate is provided after each module, in addition to the completion of all ten modules.
