Koboca’s National Physical Activity and Wellbeing Survey

As a sports partnership, we want to make sure our offer reflects what your pupils want and that we target and support those who need it most. To do this, gathering pupil voice is essential – it’s also a major priority from both the DfE and Sport England.

We’d love your school to take part this year in Koboca’s National Physical Activity and Wellbeing Survey. Over 85,000 pupils took part last year. The survey takes less than 15 minutes and will:

  1. Provide evidence to support your Sports Premium funding reporting and Ofsted.
  2. Make applying for the School Games Mark easier, particularly Gold and Platinum.
  3. Give pupils a voice in shaping our partnership offer.
  4. Help you identify pupils who would benefit most from targeted programmes.
  5. Provide insight into your pupils’ activity levels, wellbeing, and involvement in community sport.

Important to note: No personal data ever leaves your school account. You can see pupil-level responses, but as a partnership we can only access headline data.

How to get involved:

  1. Register HERE for Koboca if you haven't already.  (It is free for SHAPE members)
  2. Log into your Koboca account and go to the My Surveys tab.
  3. Next to the Primary Physical Activity and Wellbeing Survey, click Copy Link.
  4. Share this link with pupils via your usual platform (shared area)

Support for delivery:

There are videos you can play on your white board to take the pupils through the survey.

  • Year 1/2 tutorial https://youtu.be/p5zouAMTcNQ
  • Year 3/4 tutorial https://youtu.be/LVSxOz7VjuU
  • Year 5 tutorial https://youtu.be/YaNlqHaYP70
  • Year 6 tutorial https://youtu.be/dH3AIHCNsgs
  • Quick 3-minute guide on how to use the survey reports: Watch here
  • More information about the national survey: Click here

Deadline: Please complete surveys by October half term, so we can use the data to shape delivery for the rest of the year.

Thank you in advance for supporting this – it’s a fantastic way to ensure pupil voice directly influences PE, sport and wellbeing opportunities. If you need any help, just get in touch.
